Evan Rachel Wood
Evan Rachel Wood was conceived in
Raleigh, North Carolina on September 7th 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III
is a theater actor writer, director and writer, as is her mother, Sara Wood, is
an actor as well as acting coach. Her brothers older than her are Dana Wood, a
musician and Ira David Wood IV who are also actors. Evan as well as her
brothers appeared at Theatre In The Park, Raleigh which is where her father is
the executive director. She was five when she auditioned for the part in
Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994). With her parents and
brother Ira the family moved to Los Angeles in 1996. Since the time, she has
seen the success of television shows, movies on TV, as well as feature films.
She's been in Practical Magic (1998) as well as in the comedy S1m0ne (2002) as
Al Pacino's daughter, and followed that with Thirteen (2003) featuring Holly

Pierce in the HBO miniseries Mildred, Pierce (2011) brought her an Emmy
nomination as well as the Golden Globe award. Also, acclaim was awarded to her
performance as Stephanie (Mickey Rourke's ex-wife) in Darren Aronofsky’s The
Wrestler (2008). Sara Wood and Ira David Wood III are her parents. Ira David
Wood IV's younger sister, and Dana Wood's younger sister. A dancer who has been
trained. She loves to sing, swim as well as rollerblade. She also enjoys on
horseback. She holds a black belt at tae the kwon-do. She has kept in contact
with most of her Once and Again (1999) co-stars: Mischa Barton, Julia Whelan
and Shane West.
